Ive just tried using Shadow form and only crystal wave as the damage dealer....... they still scatter.
But I think you have hit the nail on the head.
Shadow form still uses up the enemys energy while Obsidian does not.
So I think the AI only scatters when its health gets low AND it has no energy

Time for a wee think to see if I can test that

I find I'm pulling in about 7k per hour, selling just about everything to the merchant. BTW, is there any demand for the map pieces? I've stopped picking them up.

not rlly i think they just take up space i seen some selling for as low as 500 gold

im not sure what im doing wrng but i get 0 scatter for the most part. 1 or 2 may stray a bit but thats it. i use the butcher build from wiki. E/M

scatter messes up runs if ur getting scatter ur doing something wrong

Hmm, I'm surprised to hear that. I have never tried Shadow Form, just Obsidian Flesh, but I can tell you that I can do just about anything while under Obsidian Flesh, e.g., Burning Speed, Crystal Wave, even Lava Font, and they don't scatter. However, the second I let Obsidian Flesh go down and the Vaettirs are under 50% health, they scatter.

I used to farm those alot aswell, for dmg skills I used Ether Nightmare, Cry of Pain and Teinai's Crystals. They never scattered, I used OF as my elite.

I'm going to try it on my sin anytime soon, and see what will happen.

I've only managed to try a couple of things but I cant get OF to say up 100% of the time on an Assassin primary. also running there is a problem..... especially the Mountain Pinesoul... I'll try again when the wine has evaporated

Non-ele primary can't keep OF up indefinitely without other buff like QZ, and you run from longeye's ledge not sifhalla.

to prevent scatter when you aggro them pull them back to a wall facing right side, they dont scatter
